Gift of giving – A holiday note from the team at Minus Forty
The team at Minus Forty with the support of our clients make a wish come true.
This has been a particularly challenging year for many, so this season the team at Minus Forty, along with the support of our clients, continue to do some good by making a wish come true and providing hope and happiness to someone in need. Since 2013, we have dedicated funds to grant life-changing wishes to children battling critical illnesses through our continued partnership with Make-A-Wish®.
Donation to Make-A-Wish directly impact children in our community. This year, we were able to grant Sophia’s wish to visit Paris, France.
Beautiful Sophia was diagnosed with Cancer, in early 2020, when her parents noticed abnormal swelling under her right-side jaw and doctors confirmed cancer after undergoing some tests.
Sophia’s wish is to travel to Europe, so that she can see places like France. She loves to bake and she’s an older sister to her sibling Sarah. She’s kind, helpful and respectful and quite bright. She’s also an avid basketball and Toronto Raptors fan.
When traveling can resume, once the pandemic subsides and travel restrictions have been lifted, the Make-A-Wish team will be able to create her amazing wish experience. And we could not have done this without you, our clients.
A wish come true can give wish kids the aspiration and determination they need to keep fighting. It helps them feel stronger and more willing and able to battle their health conditions. For many of them, it marks a turning point in their illnesses. With the gift of a wish, you have the power to help renew a child’s strength and optimism at a time when it’s needed most.
We want to give special thanks to our clients for helping make these wishes come true. Together we are spreading holiday cheer.
